I enjoyed the class trip to the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria. Its one of the few museums in New York City I had yet to go too. One thing that stood out to me the most was the costume/wardrobe portion of the museum. In this particular section I realized just how important the wardrobe selection is to the film. It has so much meaning to it. The costume represents the time period, the mood of the character, who he/she wants to be portrayed as. Let alone how much work is done by the costume designer to create these pieces. Especially in films from the early and mid 20th century. So much detail into these costumes. There were some costumes and outfits that I looked at and saw, wow is that even a costume it looks so simple, like the one Eddie Murphy wore in Beverly Hills Cop. It was great to see the dress in person from Mrs. Doubtfire, a movie I remember seeing 10 years ago. Not only that but right next to the dress was the fat suit, which Robin Williams wore in the movie to make hi...

I really enjoyed watching this video and thought it fit in perfectly with this assignment. The video is about the day by day life of a sneaker fanatic using a blackberry phone. What I like about this is the different types of shots and how they fit so smoothly through the sequence of the video itself. There are alot of point of view shots like the ones of him on his cellphone or of him simply putting on his sneakers and tying his laces. Halfway through the video the cinematographer captures the shoots the same shot multiple times and the only difference is the different sneakers in each shot (probably my favorite part of the whole video itself. There are plenty of jump shots where it jumps from the sneaker store to him walking on the street to him recording a basketball game at the park. The individual behi...

Interview Transcript

My partner that I interviewed was Jeffrey. We touched on his early years of playing baseball and what that meant to him. [02:45:06] I'd have to say it was the time i was with a team called the colts. It was the first time I was with all my friends on the same team. The whole roster was full of my friends. We made the playoffs and then we made the championship game and that went to 16innings. I remember pitching in that game, and we won that game. thats one thing i remember because I am still friends with these people and we can also relate to back to this moment. [02:46:44] I played throughout middle school and high school and i stopped playing after high school. I moved on to different sports because baseball was hard to play with only one or two people, it requires 18 indiviudals and thats hard to get everyone together. We've been talking about old memories and I'd say playing baseball is one of my favorite memories. Talking to you about this now i realized i won...
